2,500 Young Minds Shine at University of Bayreuth's Children's University
Over 2,500 young minds participated in the University of Bayreuth's Children's University this year. A total of 64 students, ranging from grades 2 to 6, were honoured at a special reception in the New Town Hall. Five lucky young reporters received unique presents for their involvement.
To qualify for a prize, the students had to attend at least three out of the four events and win a prize draw. The Children's University, a collaboration between the university and local organizations, saw approximately 2,500 girls and boys engage in educational activities.
Dr. Carsten Miller, representing the university, and Mayor Thomas Ebersberger presented the prize winners with small gifts at the reception. The mayor thanked all those responsible and sponsors for making the Children's University possible. While long-term sponsors were not specified, the Kinderschutzbund Bayreuth, which often supports educational initiatives, has received backing from organizations like the Rainer Markgraf Stiftung and Amazon's logistics center in Bayreuth.
The Children's University at the University of Bayreuth concluded with a celebration of 64 students who demonstrated their commitment and dedication. The event highlighted the importance of fostering young minds and encouraging their curiosity. The organizers and sponsors deserve praise for making this enriching experience possible.
