2025 CBSE Supplementary Examination Registration Initiated – Apply Now

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the registration process for the Supplementary Examinations of Class 10 and 12 for private students. These exams serve as an opportunity for students who have failed in one or more subjects or seek to improve their scores to reappear.

The registration for these supplementary exams can be completed through the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. Class 12 students can reappear for only one subject in the supplementary exams; however, Class 10 students are allowed to appear for two exams.

The schedule for these supplementary exams is as follows: Class 12 supplementary examinations are scheduled for June 15, 2025, while Class 10 supplementary examinations will commence from the same date.

To apply for the supplementary exams, candidates need to follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website, cbse.gov.in.
  2. Navigate to the "Private Candidate Supplementary Examination 2025" section.
  3. Enter login credentials, select the subject(s) for reappearance, and upload required documents such as photographs.
  4. Pay the prescribed fee and download the acknowledgement for future reference.

Registered private students can expect to receive their admit cards for the supplementary exams shortly. In case of any discrepancies, they are advised to immediately contact the Regional Office of the Board.

Regular students should follow the instructions from their respective school authorities for the registration of supplementary examinations. A List of Candidates (LOC) will be sent by the school to the board for Class 10 and 12.

It is essential to note that only those candidates whose details are submitted online by schools (for regular students) or directly by private candidates will be permitted to sit for the supplementary exams. Late fee applications will not be accepted beyond the deadline.

The supplementary exams for both classes are expected to begin in mid-July 2025, with admit cards being issued in early July.

Students are advised to stay updated about their eligibility and registration details for the supplementary exams through their schools or the official CBSE website.

Enrolled private students can use the CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, for learning about the registration process and steps required to submit their applications for the Class 10 and Class 12 supplementary exams in education-and-self-development. For those seeking to reappear in a second subject, Class 10 students have the opportunity compared to Class 12 students, who can only appear in one subject.
