Almaty's 'Caravan of Kindness III' Announces Winners Promoting Charity and Civil Initiative

The winners of the Republican contest 'Caravan of Kindness III' were recently announced in Almaty. The event, aimed at promoting charity and civil initiative, was attended by the akim of Almaty, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, and supported by partners such as the Agency 'Khabar', the channel 'KTK', and the sanatorium 'Okzhetpes'.

The contest, which has grown significantly since its inception with 667 participants in 2020, saw winners determined in seven categories. These included traditional ones like 'Asar' and 'Tugan Zher', and new ones like 'Bala Zhergi' and 'Zhануарға Meiram'.

In the 'Asar' category, Aibolaihan Asylbay from Semey took first place for popularizing national handmade traditions. Meanwhile, the 'Shapagat' charity fund from Nur-Sultan won the 'Meiram Zhylandy' category for providing material assistance to over 20,000 families and distributing over 100 tons of food. Daulet Kulchigeshv from Semey won in the 'Tugan Zher' category for assisting large families and participating in COVID-19 pandemic rescue efforts. Alexei Syuchugov from the Kostanai region won the 'Batyryl Zherek' category for donating his liver to a 4-year-old child.

The winners were awarded at the Kazakh National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Abai in Almaty.
