Assam's Bandita Devi Tops India in Cosmetology, Inspires Region

Assam's Chief Minister has congratulated Bandita Devi, a young woman from Goalpara district, for securing the all-India top rank in Cosmetology under the 2025 ITI programme. Her achievement has been hailed as a proud moment for both Assam and Meghalaya, and has inspired many youth across the region.

Bandita Devi, hailing from Bamundanga in West Goalpara, began her vocational journey at the ITI in Dhupdhara Kothakuthi. She later pursued advanced training at NSTI-West in Tura, Meghalaya, where she was mentored by Master Craftsman Rajeshwar Ranglal. Her dedication and skill have led her to this remarkable accomplishment.

The All Rabha Students' Union (ARSU) has praised Bandita's success as an inspiration for youth from rural Assam. Her achievement reflects the power of skill development in shaping a new India, as noted by Assam's Chief Minister.

Bandita Devi's success story has been celebrated widely, with the Prime Minister felicitating her at the 4th National Skill Convocation 2025. Her achievement is expected to motivate many young aspirants to pursue vocational education, contributing to the growth and development of the region.
