Award Presentation for Students

In the heart of Lower Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate, the final of the "Ideas Make School" competition took place at the festive hall of Schloss Mariakirchen in October. Organized by the Hans Lindner Foundation, this student competition focused on starting a business and attracted 1,354 students from 326 teams in the school year 2024/2025.

The competition was a showcase of innovative business ideas and creative projects from student teams in both the junior and senior categories. Team A from the junior category emerged as the winner with their sustainable energy solution for homes. Meanwhile, Team B in the senior category took the top spot with their creative idea for a mobile application offering mental health support.

The podium finishers in the junior category included Team E, the second runner-up with their project aimed at reducing food waste in schools, and Team C, the first runner-up with their focus on renewable agriculture. In the senior category, Team F secured the second runner-up position with their smart recycling solution, and Team D came in as the first runner-up with their eco-friendly transportation system.

Each winning team received a financial grant from the Hans Lindner Foundation to further develop their projects. This competition not only recognised the hard work and innovative thinking of these students but also provided them with the resources to bring their ideas to life.

Regensburg, home to the University of Regensburg and other educational institutions, has a vibrant academic community in the Upper Palatinate region. The "Ideas Make School" competition is just one of many events that inspire and encourage young minds to explore entrepreneurship and business ideas.
