AWS Launches Space Accelerator: APJ 2025 for Asia Pacific Startups

AWS has launched the AWS Space Accelerator: APJ 2025, a 10-week program designed to support space technology startups in the Asia Pacific and Japan region. Applications will be open from July 8, 2025, to September 5, 2025.

The accelerator, delivered in collaboration with AWS partners and leading space organizations, seeks startups innovating in earth observation, space infrastructure manufacturing, launch and operations, and drone technology. It is open to space-sector startups at all stages based in Australia, New Zealand, India, or Japan.

Selected startups will receive up to $100,000 in AWS credits, technical guidance, business coaching, and access to industry leaders. The program aims to help startups reduce risks by enabling them to build and test solutions using AWS technologies before major capital investments. The 10-week accelerator will culminate in a demo day in December 2025, providing up to 40 selected startups with business resources, technology expertise, and guidance.

The space sector in Japan and India is experiencing significant growth, currently valued at $26 billion and projected to reach $44 billion by 2033 respectively. Companies participating in the AWS Space Accelerator: APJ 2025 collaboration include AWS, Airbus, and other space technology startups in the APJ region.

The AWS Space Accelerator: APJ 2025 aims to foster innovation and growth in the Asia Pacific and Japan's space sector. With its comprehensive support and the booming market in the region, the accelerator is set to provide a significant boost to participating startups.
