**Empowering Underserved Communities Through Technology and Entrepreneurship: Project Jazba Makes Strides**

Project Jazba, a collaboration between the Navjyoti India Foundation and Automation Anywhere, is making significant strides in empowering marginalized communities in India. The initiative, launched in 2023-24, aims to bridge the employment gap through advanced technology training and entrepreneurship.

The project's focus on technology and entrepreneurship is proving instrumental in fostering financial independence, particularly among women and other underserved populations. By equipping participants with relevant digital and entrepreneurial skills, Project Jazba supports their ability to create and grow businesses or secure better job opportunities. This approach helps reduce economic dependency and promotes inclusive growth within these communities.

Over the past year, Project Jazba has supported 20 incubatees across Delhi-NCR, providing mentorship, awareness programs, and seed funding. The initiative's first year of impact reached over 1000 beneficiaries with entrepreneurship awareness and training, incubated over 60 entrepreneurs, and provided seed funding to 20 new entrepreneurs.

One of the beneficiaries, Poonam, is preparing to launch her own food stall, bringing financial stability to her household and creating shared employment. Another, Sanjeevni, a transgender social activist, is expanding her tea stall business for HIV awareness advocacy. Nasrin, a housewife, started a home-based tailoring business and is now scaling it with support and seed funding.

Navjyoti India Foundation, founded by Dr. Kiran Bedi, has been working at the grassroots level for nearly four decades to challenge socio-economic inequalities and empower underserved communities. The organization has recently added new infrastructure to support holistic development, including smart boards, industrial sewing machines, and public address systems.

At Navjyoti Skills Academy, a community-led development is taking place through hands-on training and shared purpose. The Placement Cell at the academy offers career counseling, job matching, and skill development to address youth unemployment in India. In 2024-25, Project Jazba expanded its reach to a broader base of beneficiaries across Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh.

The success of Project Jazba lies in its focus on using advanced technology training to empower underserved communities. By reaffirming the shared belief in the transformative power of technology when paired with grassroots ambition, the partnership aims to empower more women, youth, and rural communities with the skills and support needed to thrive in the new economy.

The initiative serves as a beacon of hope and action in scaling access to meaningful employment in India. As Poonam, Sanjeevni, Nasrin, and many others continue to thrive, Project Jazba is making a tangible difference in the lives of India's marginalized communities.

Through Project Jazba's efforts in areas like technology and entrepreneurship, participants are developing the skills essential for both self-employment and securing better job opportunities (education-and-self-development). This initiative, spearheaded by Navjyoti India Foundation, is fostering a lifestyle of financial independence among underserved populations (lifestyle).
