In a heartwarming event on July 24, 2025, the Children in Care Service at Landshut Youth Welfare Office organised artistic programs for eleven children aged three to 13 at Hanna Nebe-Rector's art studio in Geisenhausen. The programs aimed to foster creativity, imagination, motor skills, emotional, cognitive, and social development among the children. The older group of children used paper to explore their creativity, while the younger group created individual homes for gnomes using natural materials. The children reflected on what's most important to them in a cozy home and discussed the individual needs of each 'gnome home resident'. This activity not only encouraged creativity but also helped the children understand the importance of empathy and individuality. Both programs were highly valued by the children and foster parents. The success of these programs has inspired the Children in Care Service to plan more activities for children in care. Interested families can join the foster parent team by visiting www.pflegekinder-landshut.de or contacting [email protected]. As the head of the child care service of the youth welfare office in Landshut remains unspecified in available information, the driving force behind these enriching programs remains a mystery. However, the positive impact on the lives of the children speaks volumes about the dedication and care of those involved. These artistic programs have not only provided a platform for the children to express themselves creatively but have also contributed to their overall development, making a significant difference in their lives.
