Building work at Max-von-Laue High School is advancing smoothly
Got the dish on Max-von-Laue Gymnasium Renovation,Yeah?
I've got the lowdown on all the juicy gossip goin' on at the Max-von-Laue Gymnasium! You might remember back since 2023, it's been undergoing a facelift, sponsored by the Central Building Management of the city of Koblenz. The original plan hit a bump in the road for about a year due to some instabilities in the building's gnarly sloping ceilings. They had to knock those suckers down, and it is safe to say that almost every room in the school felt the aftermath. After investigation, it was found that there were some flaws in the structural and fire safety areas that needed to be fixed. As a result, the facade work had to take a raincheck for a bit.
Now, things are back in full swing! The first phase of facade renovation on the schoolyard is movin' along like a well-oiled machine. You can expect it to wrap up within June. This means the scaffolding will come tumblin' down, freeing up a good chunk of the schoolyard for the students to enjoy.
On the ground floor, some steel construction work has started parallel to the facade renovation. By the end of the summer holidays, they'll finish renovating the roof of the administration there and tear down the auxiliary constructions.
Inside the building, the team is installin' a new ventilation system for the first building section on the third floor. Once that's done, they'll continue this work on the other floors.
In addition to that, they're pushin' ahead with the Digital Pact, aiming for a completion by summer 2025.
