In the far eastern region of Yakutia, a significant transformation is underway in the education system, thanks to the Presidential National Project "Youth and Children" initiated by Vladimir Putin.
The development of the educational network in Yakutia has seen an unprecedented pace, with the construction of modern and safe facilities for urban and rural schoolchildren. Since the project's inception in 2018, 169 educational facilities have been built, including 78 school buildings, 80 kindergartens, 7 sports halls, 2 camps, a boarding school, and a 150-seat educational building with a 100-seat dormitory for the Small Academy of Sciences in Chapayevo village, Khangalassky District.
The aim of this project is to eliminate kindergarten queues and provide modern conditions for schoolchildren, regardless of their location. Among the facilities commissioned are two camps, a boarding school, and seven sports halls, which will undoubtedly contribute to the overall well-being and development of the children.
As of now, there are 718 kindergartens operating in the region, including 644 municipal ones. The construction of these facilities has allowed for the elimination of kindergarten queues, ensuring equal access to modern education and upbringing for children.
Nyurgun Pavlov, the Governor of Yakutia, stated that developing educational infrastructure is a strategic task for the future of the republic. He emphasised that this work is aimed at creating conditions that will contribute to the quality of education for decades to come.
By the end of 2025, another 5 educational facilities are planned to be put into operation, continuing the rapid progress in Yakutia's education system. This construction work is a testament to the commitment to providing the best possible environment for the next generation of Yakutians to learn and grow.
