Competition invites daring African startups to pitch at Latitude59's event in Kenya

The L59 Pitching Competition is set to return to Nairobi, Kenya, from December 3-5, 2025, as part of the Latitude59 Kenya Edition 2025. This event, organized by Latitude59, a flagship startup and tech event from Estonia, aims to bring together 3000 impact-makers from Africa, Europe, and beyond at the A.S.K Dome in Nairobi.

This edition marks the third Latitude59 satellite event in Africa, following successful events in Lagos, Nigeria, and Casablanca, Morocco. The competition is designed to seek out startups with a proven traction and a core team based in Africa, offering them a platform to showcase their potential and connect with over 350 investors attending the event.

The L59 Pitch Competition has shown incredible growth, with almost double the number of applications compared to the first year, according to Triin Ilves, Head of Startup Relations at Latitude59. African startups are considered to be home to some of the most exciting early-stage founders globally, as stated by Liisi Org, CEO of Latitude59.

From among all the applying startups, 10 of the strongest teams will be selected to receive professional pitch training and mentoring before taking the stage at the finals in Nairobi. The winning startup will receive a round-trip to Latitude59 2026 in Tallinn, Estonia, and a fast-track invitation to the L59 Pitch Competition semi-finals in Tallinn.

The Pitch Competition in Kenya is not the only highlight of the Latitude59 Kenya Edition 2025. The event will also feature keynote speeches, workshops, and networking opportunities, providing a comprehensive platform for startups to connect, learn, and grow.

The Latitude59 event in Tallinn, Estonia, attracts a global audience, with nearly 700 investors participating in this year's event and participants coming from more than 70 different countries worldwide. The event is described as the most international, impactful, and diverse startup and global platform.

In the past, the L59 Pitch Competition has launched the careers of successful startups like Chumz and Vunapay, both of which have impressive revenue and growth numbers. These winners serve as a testament to the potential of African startups and the opportunities that the L59 Pitch Competition provides.

Liisi Org, CEO of Latitude59, stated that the L59 Pitch Competition provides founders with an opportunity to step onto the international stage and take their first steps toward global growth. For those interested in participating, the application deadline is October 25, 2025. Tickets for the Latitude59 Kenya Edition 2025 are available now.

Whether you're a startup looking to make your mark on the global stage or an investor seeking the next big opportunity, the Latitude59 Kenya Edition 2025 promises to be an event not to be missed.
