The Landshut Environmental Center has launched an exciting new initiative called 'Resource Detectives,' a training program designed to engage children in environmental protection and recycling. This practical and illustrative program is currently in full swing, with many second and third-grade students participating.

The 'Resource Detectives' project is a collaboration between the Landshut Environmental Center, Building Operations, and Waste Management of the district and city. The aim of the program is to make children environmental and recycling experts, reinforcing their knowledge about recycling and sustainability in a hands-on way.

As part of the program, school classes visit local recycling centers, where they learn about proper waste separation and gain insights into the recycling process. During these visits, children interact directly with professionals, making the learning experience even more meaningful.

The 'Resource Detectives' project emphasizes that each individual can contribute to a shared future. It aims to boost the self-efficacy of children and their parents, encouraging them to take an active role in protecting the environment.

The program is free for all second and third-grade classes from the city and district of Landshut. Teachers are encouraged to register their classes for this sustainable training program. For more information and to register, visit www.umweltstation-landshut.de/fuer-die-jugend/wertstoffdetektive/.

The 'Resource Detectives' project is more than just a program; it's an opportunity for children to become young environmental advocates. They are referred to as 'young resource detectives,' and through this program, they are encouraged to investigate, learn, and take action in protecting the environment.

The 'Resource Detectives' project is an excellent example of how practical, interactive learning can make a significant impact on children's understanding of environmental issues. By engaging children in a fun and educational way, the program is helping to create a new generation of environmental protectors.
