Kreis Ostholstein, a district in northern Germany, has welcomed 13 new trainees and students on August 1st for various training and study programs. Among them are Diana Celine Fechner, Lucy Marlene Meier, and Alina Maria Witt, who are preparing for the role of Kreisobersekretärinnen.

The newcomers will spend their first two weeks on an orientation internship, learning about the Kreisverwaltung's specialist departments and tasks. This is followed by an introductory course at the Verwaltungsakademie Bordesholm (VAB).

For those training as Kreisinspektoranwärter and -anwärterinnen, the practical phases in the Kreisverwaltung and study periods in Altenholz will alternate in a four-month rhythm. They will also attend basic studies at the Fachhochschule für Verwaltung und Dienstleistung (FHVD) in Altenholz.

The intake year 2025 saw an increase in training positions at the Kreis Ostholstein. Landrat Timo Gaarz, the district's chief executive, stated that the provision of iPads, keyboards, and Apple Pencils reinforces the Kreis Ostholstein's goal of being a modern employer.

Part-time training as an administrative services clerk is possible under certain conditions. Trainees for administrative professionals will begin their first practical station in the specialist departments of the Kreisverwaltung.

The selection process for the intake year 2026 has begun, with job advertisements for training opportunities being published in newspapers, on the Kreis's website www.kreis-oh.de, and in social media.

Landrat Gaarz announced that all successfully completed trainees and students have received job offers from Kreis Ostholstein, and all have accepted. In July, nine trainees successfully completed their training or studies at the Kreis Ostholstein, including Ingmar Konstantin, Emily Lassen, Mobeen Mazhar, Louisa Tödten, Svea Sophie Dreßel, Gloria Kies, Antonia Labusch, Johanna Katharina Sperling, and Emma Tiedemann. They received law collections, bags with the training slogan, and office material boxes as a token of appreciation.

For more detailed information about the training and employment situation in Kreis Ostholstein for 2025 and beyond, it is recommended to consult official Kreis Ostholstein government or employment agency websites, local chambers of commerce, and training centers.

The newcomers will engage in online education sessions for understanding the Kreisverwaltung's specialist departments and tasks as part of their orientation internship, considering the district's emphasis on education-and-self-development and online-education. Upon completion, they will attend an introductory course at the Verwaltungsakademie Bordesholm (VAB) to further their learning.
