Eligibility Requirements for PFRDA Grade A in 2025: Age Requirements, Relaxations, and Education Standards

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has released the eligibility criteria for its Grade A Officer positions in 2025. The recruitment drive seeks candidates with a diverse academic background, particularly those with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

The age limit for applicants is 30 years or younger as of 31st July 2025, which means candidates must have been born on or after 1st August 1995. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates from reserved categories, including SC, ST, OBC, Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), Ex-Servicemen, and combined categories.

The educational qualification varies depending on the stream applied for. Generally, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized university. For general posts like Assistant Manager, degrees in finance, economics, business administration, law, or related fields are preferred. For the Rajbhasha Officer (Official Language) stream, a Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at the Bachelor's level, or a Master’s Degree in Sanskrit/English/Economics/Commerce with Hindi as a subject at the Bachelor's level from a recognized university/institute is required.

Candidates applying for the Research (Economics) and Research (Statistics) streams must hold a Master’s Degree in Statistics/Economics/Commerce/Business Administration (Finance)/Econometrics. A Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University/Institute is required for the Legal stream, while passing the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) Examination's seven 'Core Principles' subjects is a requirement for the Actuary stream.

Candidates must be Indian citizens, and they are required to submit various documents, including proof of age, educational qualification certificates, caste/category certificate (if applicable), nationality certificate or passport, disability certificate (if any), and other relevant certificates as per the advertisement or application form guidelines.

The selection process involves multiple stages, including two online objective tests and an interview, testing candidates on general aptitude, subject knowledge, and communication skills. Interested candidates can apply online for the PFRDA Grade A posts between 2nd July and 6th August 2025.

It is crucial for aspirants to carefully read the advertisement and ensure they fully satisfy the eligibility criteria for the advertised post. Failing to fulfil any of the eligibility criteria will lead to the disqualification of the candidature.
