Empowerment Push: Kids Stepping Up Against Harassment
On Saturday, August 30th, the city of Neuwied is hosting a special workshop aimed at children aged 8 to 12. Titled "Level Up! - Strong Kids Against Bullying", this workshop will take place at the Big House youth center, Museumstr. 4a.
The purpose of this workshop is to equip children with the skills they need to handle bullying situations. Through practical exercises, girls and boys will learn to assert themselves, communicate their feelings clearly, and stay calm in conflict situations. The workshop also teaches age-appropriate techniques to set boundaries, stand up for themselves, and protect themselves from bullying.
The workshop will provide strategies for recognising bullying situations, reacting appropriately, and creating a safe and positive environment for children in the long term. It will take place in a safe space where everyone can openly discuss their experiences. Together, they will work out ways to counteract bullying and promote a respectful community.
For more information and registration, please contact Tanja Buchmann at [email protected] or by phone at 02631/802-170. The participation fee for the workshop is 20 euros.
By attending this workshop, children will not only learn valuable skills to handle bullying but also gain confidence and a sense of empowerment. They will learn where to turn if they or someone else is being bullied and how to support each other in creating a respectful and bully-free environment.
The "Level Up! - Strong Kids Against Bullying" workshop is an excellent opportunity for children to develop their social and emotional skills while learning to stand up against bullying. Register now to secure your child's spot and help them grow into strong, confident individuals.
