- Experienced a mishap for Heidi Klum.
ProSieben is shaking things up with "Germany's next Topmodel"! Instead of airing on Tuesdays, the men's episodes will now be gracing our screens every Wednesday, pushing "TV total" to take its spot on Tuesdays. This scheduling change aims to steer clear of a direct showdown with Stefan Raab's RTL program, "You Don't Win the Million Here with Stefan Raab."
The surprise move seems to have left Heidi Klum, the show's host, a bit puzzled. In an Instagram Q&A, the supermodel admitted, "Honestly, I have no idea." But Klum remains upbeat, asserting that "GNTM" will air its female and male episodes separately on Wednesdays and Thursdays, respectively.
On a positive note, the 20th season of "GNTM" is off to a stellar start, premiering today, February 13. Both male and female models are in the running, just like the previous year. The new schedule allows for a focused presentation of the female and male models, each with their dedicated episodes.
In the first episode, Heidi Klum's daughter Leni makes a guest appearance as a juror. Supermodel Naomi Campbell will join the panel to judge the men in the second episode, scheduled for February 19. The tension will build as the men and women compete separately before eventually facing off in episode 13, airing on March 27. Two winners—one for the ladies and one for the gents—will be crowned, each receiving the title of "Harper's Bazaar," 100,000 euros, and a coveted spot in an L'Oréal Paris campaign.
[Enrichment Data: To avoid direct competition with RTL's programming, including "TV total," ProSieben shifted the broadcast schedule of "Germany's next Topmodel." The first men's episode was initially planned for February 18 but will now air on February 19 at 20:15 UTC. In response, "TV total" will be moved to air on Tuesdays.]
Other television shows might need to adjust their schedules to avoid clashing with "Germany's next Topmodel" now that its men's episodes are airing on Wednesdays. The new schedule provides a unique opportunity for viewers to fully appreciate both the female and male models, as each group has dedicated episodes.
