The city of Neuss, Germany, has unveiled an exciting new learning opportunity for its young residents. "Neusser Geschichte für Kinder," an audio tour designed specifically for children, takes young listeners on a journey through the city's rich history, with stories narrated by local children.

Dr. Jens Metzdorf, head of the Neuss City Archive, emphasized the importance of teaching city history to primary school students. He stated that children between the ages of six and twelve are incredibly interested in history and their surroundings.
The tour features nine listening stations at prominent medieval points in the city, bringing the Middle Ages to life in an interactive way for kids. The audio files can be accessed via QR codes on a corresponding foldable map or via the homepage of the city of Neuss. The foldable map, along with the QR codes, is available at the Neuss City Archive and the Tourist Information Office at the market.
Ursula Platen, Deputy Mayor for Youth, Education, and Culture, praised the project, stating that the children will remember it for many years to come. Dr. Metzdorf also announced that the audio tour currently comprises nine listening stations, with plans to expand it in the future.
