French Embassy partners with WomHub to establish a six-month tech accelerator program aimed at female entrepreneurs in South Africa.

The Female Funding Fit Programme is a six-month accelerator based in South Africa, dedicated to supporting women-led tech ventures. This initiative is a partnership between WomHub, a pan-African incubator for women in STEM, and the French Embassy in South Africa [1][2].

The programme is now open for applications and is focused on preparing ventures for investment. It aims to provide women-led tech businesses with the necessary tools, networks, and funding to grow and scale [5].

The Female Funding Fit Programme offers a comprehensive six-month curriculum that covers investment readiness, personal development, and individual mentoring and financial coaching [6]. Participants will also have access to WomHub's innovation spaces in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and East London.

One of the key benefits of the programme is the €10,000 in catalytic funding that will be awarded to one selected participant [4]. In addition, participants will receive intensive mentorship and coaching throughout the six months, as well as access to training aimed at overcoming growth barriers for female entrepreneurs [5].

The Female Funding Fit Programme also offers the opportunity to connect with a strategic network of investors and collaborators to support business growth and scalability [5]. The application deadline for the programme is Thursday, August 21, 2025.

The programme is open to female founders of tech-enabled businesses who are ready to pursue growth. It is an excellent opportunity for women in the tech sector to take their ventures to the next level and build sustainable businesses with the help of experienced mentors and strategic partnerships.
