Fulton County Schools is set to enhance learning opportunities for students with the launch of the Driving Possibilities initiative. This national, career readiness and community engagement program, funded by the Toyota USA Foundation, Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) and Toyota Financial Services (TFS), aims to prepare youth for future careers by integrating STEM learning with the Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) curriculum.

The initiative, which was launched in 2022, has its roots in a successful model in West Dallas. It is the largest and most comprehensive in Toyota's history, and Fulton County Schools is the seventh site to join this endeavour, based on more than 65 years of active support in Toyota communities across the U.S.

Under the Driving Possibilities initiative, additional learning resources will be provided to students. The expanded SAFE Centers will be located in two FCS high schools, offering community resources and services as well as professional development for FCS educators, with support from Kennesaw State University.

The program brings together educators, local and national nonprofits, and communities to create limitless possibilities. The initiative will focus on increasing services at existing Student and Family Engagement (SAFE) Centers to include PreK to eighth graders at identified schools.

The Driving Possibilities initiative in Fulton County Schools is designed to equip students with the skills they need to succeed in the modern workforce. By integrating STEM learning with CTAE curriculum, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of subjects such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, while also learning practical skills that can be applied in various careers.

This innovative approach to education is set to make a significant impact on the lives of students in Fulton County Schools. By providing expanded learning opportunities and career readiness programs, the Driving Possibilities initiative will help ensure that students are well-prepared for success in the future.
