Fussen city council authorizes development of public swimming facilities

To ensure students can reach the pool dry-footed in all weather conditions, an underground passage is planned. The groundbreaking for the new pool is scheduled for the end of 2026, with completion expected by the latest in 2028.
To finance the maintenance of the pool, the city plans to implement efficient planning strategies, including a PV system, buffer storage tank, and specialized training for the school caretaker. Eichstetter also expects to generate around 20,000 to 40,000 euros per year by allowing non-municipal schools and facilities to book the pool.
