Jeanette Hernandez Prenger to Deliver Keynote Address at Park University Commencement
Graduation Ceremony at Park University Scheduled for May 10; Jeanette Prenger to Deliver Keynote Speech and Receive Honorary Doctorate
Jeanette Hernandez Prenger, a 2009 Park University graduate and successful entrepreneur, will be returning to her alma mater as the keynote speaker at the Kansas City Area Commencement on May 10, 2025.
A total of 575 students are eligible to participate in the ceremony, with 203 set to receive a master's degree and/or graduate certificate, and another 372 students scheduled to receive a bachelor's degree, associate degree, and/or undergraduate certificate.
Prenger, who will be awarded an honorary Doctorate of Human Letters degree during the ceremony, is the founder and CEO of ECCO Select, a talent acquisition and consulting firm specializing in people, process, and technology solutions. Under her leadership, the company has grown to become one of the top Hispanic-owned businesses in the U.S., serving clients across North America, including Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies.
Beyond her business successes, Prenger is a passionate advocate for economic growth and community development. Her philanthropic endeavors have left an indelible mark on the Kansas City community and beyond.
Prenger's advocacy for workforce development, educational access, and cultural preservation has been recognized through numerous accolades. She serves on numerous national and regional boards, including The Latino Coalition, Junior Achievement USA, Boy Scouts of America (now known as Scouting America), the Harvard Kennedy School's Taubman Institute, Eisenhower Foundation, and the Missouri Tourism Commission.
Among her local leadership roles, Prenger served on Park University's Board of Trustees from 2011 to 2023, including two years as chair and two years as immediate past chair.
