IB ACIO Exam Assessment 2025, September 16th: Day 1 Review, Subject-Specific Difficulty Ratings & Successful Attempts

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) conducted the ACIO Tier 1 Exam 2025 from September 16 to 18, 2025, across various centres in India. This exam aimed to fill 3717 vacancies for ACIO Grade 2/Executive posts. The exam was held in an online mode and took place in four shifts each day.

Exam Structure

The IB ACIO Tier 1 exam on 16th September 2025 (1st shift) included questions from a variety of topics in General Studies and Current Affairs, Numerical Aptitude, Reasoning/Logical Aptitude, and English. The exam carries 100 marks in total.

General Studies and Current Affairs

For the General Studies section, the good attempt range is 11-12 questions. The questions covered various topics such as Article 21 related provisions, Coastal regions of India, Fundamental Rights, Wetlands in India, Union Budget and Economics, GDP-related questions, Forest reports, and World Bank Global Economic Prospects (GEP) Jan 2025. In the Current Affairs section, questions were asked about the 70th National Award Male Actor, Padma Shri & Goa Liberation Day, and Syed Modi Badminton Trophy.

Numerical Aptitude, Reasoning, and English

The IB ACIO Tier 1 exam analysis 2025 for Reasoning indicated that the section was easy to moderate, with a variety of question types. The English section was moderately difficult, testing vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension.

For Shift 2, the reporting time is 10:30 AM, and the exam timings are 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. For Shift 3, the reporting time is 1:30 PM, and the exam timings are 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
