Top Video Game Design Studies at Our University Shine, FIRST Robotics Events Underway
Our university is making waves in the world of video game design, with studies in the field being among the most-read news stories last month. This recognition comes from The Princeton Review's 2025 rankings of top video game design schools, where our institution was highlighted.
In these rankings, the University of Southern California (USC) claimed the top spot for undergraduate game design, while New York University (NYU) took the lead for graduate game design. These rankings are the result of The Princeton Review's 16th annual evaluation of schools providing game design education.
USC moved up from the second spot in 2024, demonstrating its continued strength in game design education. NYU similarly rose from second to first in the graduate school rankings. The Princeton Review lists 50 schools in the undergraduate category and 25 in the graduate category, with schools categorised by seven regions (Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, South, Southwest, West, International).
Other prominent schools in game design recognised for their programs include Parsons The New School for Design, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rochester Institute of Technology, Falmouth University (UK), and many more. For a comprehensive list, regional breakdowns, and complete rankings, The Princeton Review provides full lists and profiles on their official website.
Meanwhile, FIRST Robotics events are taking place at our university, showcasing the talents of students in the field of robotics. High School FIRST Robotics teams competed in a regional event on March 4-5.
In other news, our university's Big Shot photo project is on display at The Strong, and a Rally of Hope is planned on March 22 in support of a missing student.
