Licypriya Kangujam, 10, Leads Global Climate Crusade

Licypriya Kangujam, a young climate crusader from India, has been battling climate change since the age of six. With a substantial social media following and global recognition, she continues to champion the cause of climate justice.

Kangujam, who prefers to be known as 'Licypriya of India' rather than being compared to Greta Thunberg, has established Child Movement, an initiative centered around raising awareness about climate change and safeguarding the planet's future. Her efforts have gained momentum, with many supporters adopting her ideas and joining her in rallies.

She has utilized her platform to engage lawmakers, with several Indian national and regional dailies covering her attempts to push for laws against carbon emissions and greenhouse gases. Kangujam's influence extends globally, with over 93.4K followers on Twitter, over 20K on Facebook, and 18.6K-plus subscribers on her YouTube channel.

Kangujam's activism has taken her to over 30 countries, where she has addressed world leaders, including at the 2019 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Madrid, Spain. She is a passionate advocate for introducing climate change education in schools.
