Our Website Partners with 'Dispossessed Fund' to Fight Youth Unemployment
Our website has joined forces with the 'Dispossessed Fund' campaign to tackle youth unemployment and promote entrepreneurship. This partnership, set to last three years, aims to support innovative grassroots charities in London, helping young people disconnected from traditional education to enter the job market.
The initiative aligns with our bank's Corporate Social Responsibility Education strategy. It will focus on supporting young individuals from Black and racially underrepresented backgrounds through the 2020 Levels program. This program is part of our ongoing commitment to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Several charities will benefit from this fund. Arts Against Knives supports at-risk young people aged 17-25 in Barnet annually. Urban MBA offers an alternative education programme focused on new technologies and AI to help young Londoners secure employment in emerging industries. The My Big Career initiative assists London youths aged 16-18 in building confidence, skills, and experience for successful employment transitions. Toucan Employment supports young people with learning disabilities and autism each year in Southwark and Lewisham. Steel Warriors targets at-risk young people in Lambeth with ten 5-day full-time 'Made of Steel' employability programs.
Our website's CEO for the UK and Ireland, Vathany Vijayaratna, expressed that this partnership aims to support young people disconnected from the traditional education system. By working together with the London Community Foundation, we hope to help these young individuals secure meaningful employment and build a brighter future.
