Park University Celebrates Service Anniversaries of Dedicated Employees

Park University recently honoured 45 employees for their service anniversaries between Aug. 2, 2019, and Aug. 1, 2020. The combined service of these employees amounts to an impressive 475 years.

Among those recognised were several long-standing members of staff. Tim Westcott, Associate Professor of History, and Niki Rittenhouse, Reporting Analyst, reached 20-year service anniversaries. Amy Mecklenburg-Faenger, Associate Professor of English, and Sara Brewer, Financial Aid Operations Coordinator, reached five-year service milestones.

Five-year service anniversaries were also celebrated by Raima Dominguez, Custodian I, Pedro Carmona, Custodian I, Andrea Lee, Assistant Professor of Fine Art, Shannon Nichols, Campus Center Director I, and Mike Vargas, Systems Administrator.

Judy Caudill, Campus Center Coach, and Janel Tait, Custodian II, reached ten-year service anniversaries. Ed Austin, Lead Help Desk Technical Specialist, and Brett Gregory, Lead Campus Safety Officer, also reached five-year service milestones.

Special recognition was given to Debra Sheffer, associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and professor of history, and Linda Waxse, counselor and coordinator of the Counseling Center, for their 30 years of service.

Other employees who reached significant service milestones include Kathy VanCleave, Online Instructor Services Administrator, who reached 15 years of service. Henry Roehrich, Associate Professor of Marketing/Management, and Keith Dailey, Campus Center Director, reached ten-year service anniversaries.

In addition, 40 adjunct faculty members received 20-year service pins for their consecutive years of teaching at least one class for Park University. Silvia Byer, Professor of English and Modern Languages, also reached 15 years of service.

Other employees who reached five-year service anniversaries include Shellie Myers, Provost, Erin Stocking, Administrative Assistant, and Steven Houston, Senior Technical Support Specialist. Penny DeJong, Associate Dean, School of Business, also reached a ten-year service anniversary.

Marie Distasio, Student Accounts Representative, and Bill Foley, Programmer Analyst, reached ten-year service anniversaries. Donna Baker, Senior Director of Financial Reporting, reached 15 years of service. Norman Cooper, Head Women's Basketball Coach (Parkville Campus), and Jason Kline, Head Men's Basketball Coach (Parkville Campus), also reached ten-year service milestones.
