Parking Updates Due for Autumn 2025 at Campus: What's Changing?

Oberlin, Ohio - This fall, Oberlin College students, employees, and visitors will have access to three new parking lots, located on Woodland Street, North Professor Street, and Lorain Street. The new lots, a result of several major construction projects, will provide more than 300 new parking spaces.

The Woodland Hall lot, situated near the new Woodland Hall student residence, offers 226 parking spaces, with 45 reserved for faculty and staff at the south end. The lot is well-equipped with two new Level II EV charging stations for sustainable transportation.

The North Professor Street lot, adjacent to the softball field, will accommodate 70 student parking spaces.

The Lorain Street lot, located between Wilder Hall and the Service Building, north of Mudd Center, is expected to have 20 new parking spaces for faculty and staff. It will also include designated spaces for short-term parking, Wilder Hall loading and unloading, and residents of adjacent student houses. Notably, this lot replaces the temporary lot used by construction vehicles.

A new crosswalk will be added to Lorain Street north of Wilder Hall to ensure safe pedestrian travel.

For more detailed information about these new lots, including exact locations and features, it's recommended to check the official Oberlin College or City of Oberlin website or contact their transportation or campus services department directly.

These new parking lots are part of Oberlin's commitment to campus carbon neutrality through its Sustainable Infrastructure Program. For more information about parking, you can contact campus.safety@our website.
