Police in Münster launch the fourth iteration of the "Vocational School for Police Officers" training program.

The application period for the FASFA class 2026/2027 is now open, and young people with a medium school leaving certificate have the opportunity to embark on an exciting career path as police officers in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The application process, along with further details, can be found on the websites https://muenster.polizei.nrw/ and https://www.genau-mein-fall.de/nextlevel. The application period runs from February 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025.

On Wednesday, August 27th, at 10 a.m., an event was held at the Landesamt für Fortbildung, Ausbildung und Personalangelegenheiten (LAFP) in Münster, where 58 students, 19 of whom were female and 35 male, were welcomed by Police President Alexandra Dorndorf. She encouraged the students to believe in themselves, bring their strengths to the table, stay curious, and become role models for society.

The training leadership and Hansa-Berufskolleg introduced themselves to the students through a variety of videos, interviews, and even a police rap. Ute Berkemeier, the headmaster of the Hansa-Berufskolleg Münster, expressed her pleasure with the "FOS Police" model, which they consider an absolute success.

The dual course of study lasts two years and provides a comprehensive overview of the police and the diverse jobs available in a police authority. Students enrolled in the "Fachoberschule Polizei" course are starting their training at the police in North Rhine-Westphalia.

An interview with students from class 11 provided participants with an authentic insight into what the students can expect from their training. Police President Alexandra Dorndorf spoke about the worthiness of their goal to become police officers and the exciting career paths that await them.

Since 2022, young people with a medium school leaving certificate have been able to obtain the "Fachabitur Polizei" in close cooperation with the Hansa-Berufskolleg. The responsibility for the training of the FOS class 2026/2027 at the police in North Rhine-Westphalia has not been explicitly mentioned in the search results.
