Qatar Readies for MWC25 Doha Under Prime Minister's Leadership
In November 2025, the State of Qatar will host the first-ever Mobile World Congress (MWC) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Organised by the GSMA and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Qatar, MWC Doha 2025 is poised to be a global hub for mobile technology innovation and digital transformation.
MWC25 Doha will bring together innovators, policymakers, and business leaders from around the world, fostering discussions on the impact of emerging technologies on economies and societies worldwide. The event will serve as a milestone for Qatar’s digital ambitions, positioning the country as a regional tech powerhouse and global convener of technology leaders.
The event agenda will explore three overarching themes: AI Nexus, Intelligent Economies, and Connected Industries. Discussions will centre around the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI), the development of intelligent economies through advanced digital infrastructure and data sovereignty, and the integration of connected industries such as mobility, finance, energy, and logistics.
MWC Doha 2025 will showcase innovations in 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), satellite connectivity, smart mobility, fintech, and intelligent telecom networks, featuring global experts and a dynamic lineup of thematic summits addressing emerging technologies and their real-world applications.
Qatar University has been confirmed as the Educational Partner for MWC25 Doha, a first for an MWC event. The event is expected to attract participants from around 60 countries, with approximately 40% being Director level and senior executives, technology leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators.
By hosting MWC25 Doha, Qatar aims to accelerate digital transformation across critical sectors such as government services, education, commerce, energy, and mobility, reinforcing its leadership in smart infrastructure and AI integration.
