Rally Supported by Women for Involvement in Local Public Administration
On October 18, 2025, the Lower Franconian municipal equality officers will organise the inter-municipal Action Day "Politics Needs Women" at the Würzburg Town Hall (Rückermainstraße 2). This event, running from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, is open to all women who are socially engaged, whether professionally, voluntarily, or with the desire to become politically active.
The Action Day aims to address the underrepresentation of women in parliaments and municipal bodies. The special program, themed "Have Your Say. Get Involved. Celebrate.", will provide a space for exchange, new impulses, and personal empowerment.
During the day, participants can engage in discussions at themed tables and collect new impulses. A highlight will be the subsequent discussion with politicians from various political fields. While the names of politicians participating in the final discussion of Action Day 2025 are not explicitly listed in the available sources, notable political figures mentioned in related 2025 forums include Dr. Wolfgang Baumann (President of the Liberal Club), Dr. Walter Rosenkranz (President of the National Council), and Mario Kunasek (Governor of Styria).
Networking, participation, and self-assured action will be particularly emphasized in this year's program. To facilitate attendance, childcare and a ride-sharing option to Würzburg will be provided if needed.
Registration for the event is necessary to attend and can be done until October 6, 2025, via www.gleichstellung-unterfranken.de/projekte/der-interkommunale-aktionstag. Participation in the event is free.
The Action Day is designed to help women overcome challenges faced within and outside of plenary sessions. The goal of the Action Day is to develop strategies, learn about scopes of action, and provide a space for networking. First-time participants and long-time contributors are both invited to the event.
Join us on October 18, 2025, for a day of inspiration, learning, and empowerment. Let's work together to promote gender equality in politics.
