The Norton Rose Fulbright Scholars Programme, a bi-annual initiative aimed at students aspiring for a career in business or commercial law, is set to resume in 2025. However, as of August 2025, the specific application process and eligibility criteria for the 2025 programme have not been published yet.

The Scholars Programme offers a bursary that provides training in vacation scheme applications and interviews, insight days at the firm, engagement with clients, invitations to select firm events, and networking opportunities with employees and clients. It also includes a mentoring programme with the firm's lawyers and offers a place on the assessment centre for a vacation scheme at the firm.

To be eligible for the Scholars Programme, students must have an unconditional offer, be officially accepted by their chosen university, or have already commenced study at university for their stated degree. The degree must be a minimum 3-year course at an accredited university in the United Kingdom. Achieving AAB at A Level or equivalent is a requirement for the programme.

The application process for the 2025 Scholars Programme will begin on September 26, 2025 (09:00 BST) and will end on October 20, 2025 (23:59 BST). The programme is designed to reach students facing socio-economic barriers.

For those looking for other bursary programmes for business or commercial law students, consider the Flynn O'Driscoll LLP scholarship at Maynooth University, which supports 3rd or 4th year LLB or BCL students showing exceptional academic achievement and motivation in law. The Matheson Cara Scholarship, focused on diversity and inclusion, offers bursaries, mentorship, and internships to second-year undergraduates at Trinity College Dublin.

It is recommended to monitor the Norton Rose Fulbright official bursary page periodically for updated application timelines and eligibility criteria as they are announced.
