Astana, Kazakhstan - Key Developments in the Bolashak International Scholarship Program

In a notable announcement, the Bolashak international scholarship will be awarded to 189 Kazakh citizens, according to a May 27 meeting of the commission for personnel training abroad chaired by State Counselor Erlan Karin.

The upcoming scholarship recipients will consist of 164 master's degree candidates, ten doctoral students, and 15 professionals participating in international internships. These individuals will engage in studies at leading universities and centers worldwide.

During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on critical sectors, with 73% of recipients set to focus on natural sciences and engineering, while the remaining 27% will concentrate on the social sciences and humanities.

Moreover, the meeting discussed the need for targeted training of specialists in Kazakhstan's nuclear energy sector.

While the Bolashak program is known for its far-reaching focus areas, it primarily aims to foster highly skilled specialists in various disciplines. This scholarship program is highly competitive and seeks to nurture future leaders in fields such as business, international relations, law, science, engineering, and more.
