Sen. Nwoko Launches 'Sports Meet Education' for 90 Delta North Students

Sen. Ned Nwoko (APC-Delta) has launched an inspiring initiative, 'Sports meet Education', benefiting 90 outstanding students from Delta North. These students will study at the Sports University of Nigeria (SUN) Idumuje-Ugboko, enjoying a full four-year scholarship. The programme aims to harness their potential in both academics and sports.

The initiative, launched by Sen. Nwoko, selects students based on academic excellence, sports talent, leadership qualities, and community involvement. Each of the nine local government areas in Delta North will send ten students to the university. Applicants can apply via www.sportsuniversity.edu.ng, with contact information available for enquiries.

The Sports University offers accredited programs in various fields, including Mass Communication, Management & Social Sciences, Sports Science, Allied Health Sciences, Sciences, and Architecture. Beneficiaries will enjoy 100% tuition-free education, access to world-class sports facilities, modern campus amenities, and safe accommodation. Sen. Nwoko recently demonstrated his commitment to the region by constructing and donating a modern mini stadium to Issele Uku Community.

The 'Sports meet Education' initiative is set to transform the lives of 90 Delta North students. By combining academic and athletic programmes, it encourages well-rounded development. The first set of awardees will commence studies in the current academic session, marking a significant step towards harnessing the potential of youths in Delta North.
