Simplifying the search and enrollment process for nurseries in the UK, Nuuri secures £275K in Pre-Seed funding.

Nuuri, the UK's first search and enrolment platform for nurseries, officially launched in December 2024 and is now live across Scotland, England, and Wales. Founded by Steven Clarke, a busy working dad who experienced difficulty finding a nursery for his child, Nuuri aims to make life easier for both parents and nurseries by digitalising search and enrolment in one place.

Since its launch, Nuuri has raised £275,000 (about €316k) in Pre-Seed funding to enhance and expand its platform. The funds raised will be used to accelerate product development, with a focus on AI tooling to replace manual documents and communication channels. Nuuri is often referred to as 'The Rightmove for nurseries'.

The platform allows parents to search and filter nurseries by postcode, preferred start date, and child's age. Key features include virtual nursery tours, room capacity details, cost calculators, and a parent advice hub that provides guidance on government funding, types of nurseries, costs, and navigating waitlists. Nuuri works closely with nurseries to help them manage pre-enrolment admin overload, providing a modern digital shop-front that streamlines enrollment and communication, freeing nursery staff to focus more on childcare and education.

Steven Clarke emphasized that as a working parent, he understands the juggle, and Nuuri is here to lighten the load and support parents at every step. He stated that the idea for the platform came from his personal experience of finding a nursery for his newborn daughter in 2023. Nuuri's advice hub provides valuable guidance on issues like applying for Government funding, types of nurseries, what to look for when searching for a nursery, costs, and navigating waitlists.

Nuuri is a member of Tech Scaler, a Scottish Government-funded accelerator programme. The vision is to make the platform even simpler, more transparent, and more reliable for both parents and nursery providers. With the recent funding round, Nuuri has a roadmap of enhanced features planned to be rolled out over the coming months. These enhancements aim to further transform the UK nursery sector's search and enrolment experience.

In summary, since its launch in December 2024, Nuuri has made significant progress by expanding nationally, securing funding, implementing core digital features, and planning further enhancements to transform the UK nursery sector's search and enrolment experience.

Technology has played a crucial role in the expansion of Nuuri, as the platform employs AI tooling to streamline search and enrolment processes, making learning about education-and-self-development opportunities in nurseries easier and more efficient. With additional features planned to be rolled out in the coming months thanks to Pre-Seed funding, Nuuri continues to enhance the learning experiences for both parents and nurseries in the UK.
