Astana Resident Takes Advantage of JOLTAP Project's Learning Opportunities

Astana, Kazakhstan - Aizada Baubekova, a resident of Astana, is one of the many locals benefiting from the JOLTAP ("Jol Tap") project, a youth employment programme aimed at supporting young people in the region. The project offers free digital and vocational training courses to enhance skills and employability.

The JOLTAP project, part of a broader national and regional youth employment agenda in Kazakhstan, provides Astana residents with the opportunity to improve their knowledge in various professions. Courses range from digital skills such as basic computer literacy and IT skills, to working specialties that cater to local market demand, including trades, technical professions, and service industry skills.

Aizada Baubekova, who has a secondary occupation of sewing clothes, enrolled in the project to learn about trading in the Kaspi store and tax payment and reporting. She found the address of a nearby modular point through Instagram and was impressed by the motivational and supportive atmosphere of the project.

The modular points, installed on the streets of the city, provide information about employment opportunities, acquiring working and digital skills, business opening, and assistance within state support (housing, social assistance, grants, etc.). The information is presented in a way that is easy to understand, making it accessible to all.

Aizada Baubekova, who is also a tutor who teaches English, appreciates the JOLTAP project for providing a new learning environment and meeting new people. She found the course to be a combination of theory and practice, with teachers explaining all details in a simple manner and answering questions.

The JOLTAP project continues to offer free courses in various professions to Astana residents aged 18 to 50. Residents can benefit from the inspiring and supportive learning environment, taking a step towards improving their skills and employment prospects.
