I checked in with Wordle Bot to help me evaluate my guessing game; you can do the same right here. I wanted to incorporate some festive, holiday-themed words, so I considered options like TREES or LIGHT. However, those didn't seem like the most promising picks. The word BRAIN popped into my mind, and it paid off, as the 'B' was highlighted in yellow, signifying its presence in the solution. I discarded DOUBT to eliminate as many vowels as possible and was lucky enough to have a green 'U.' At this point, the only word left was PLUMB, and voila! I had the Wordle. Bravo!
Competitive Wordle Scores
I received 1 point for solving the Wordle in three attempts and another point for outscoring the Bot, which couldn't solve it with its four guesses. A two-point victory for me! Bravo again!

Today's Wordle Origins
The term "plumb" hails from the Latin word plumbum, which translates to "lead." It became synonymous with the lead weight on a string used by builders and sailors to determine vertical alignment, or "true." Over time, it came to represent vertical correctness or determination, as well as measurement or testing accuracy. Eventually, its use evolved to include idiomatic and metaphorical meanings, such as "plumbing the depths."
