UK Embassy Launches RUBIES Fund for Anti-Corruption Projects in Costa Rica & Nicaragua

The British Embassy in San José has launched a call for project proposals for its RUBIES Fund, aiming to support work in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The fund focuses on areas such as anti-bureaucracy, anti-corruption, and fiscal transparency. Successful projects are expected to deliver transformational changes in public policy or practice.

The RUBIES Fund operates in two stages: a concept bid stage followed by a full bid stage. Concept bids should be submitted in English to [email protected] by 2 April 2017. Proposals should be practical, high-impact, and deliverable within one year, with a budget between £15,000 and £25,000. Co-funding is encouraged. Payments will be made in pounds sterling (GBP), or United States dollars for implementers based in target countries. The embassy has not specified which organizations are eligible, so interested parties are advised to contact them directly for clarification.

The RUBIES Fund seeks innovative projects that can drive change in public policy or practice. Successful projects will commence in April 2017 and conclude by the end of January 2018. The embassy welcomes proposals that align with its objectives and encourages eligible organizations to apply.
