Ulsan & Vietstar Boost Education & Industry Collaboration
Ulsan Centre for Creative Economy and Innovation (UCCEI) and Vietstar Institute of Management have joined forces to boost collaboration in education and industry. The partnership, signed on October 1, 2022, aims to connect Vietnamese talent with South Korean industries and facilitate Ulsan startups' entry into Vietnam.
The MoU covers six key areas, including education, industrial leadership training, talent exchange, and startup market entry support. The two sides will jointly develop leadership and competency-building programmes, combining Vietstar's customised training courses with UCCEI's entrepreneurship and innovation content. A highlight of the partnership is the co-design and operation of a startup leadership training course for aspiring Vietnamese entrepreneurs, backed by a mentoring system leveraging UCCEI's startup expertise and Vietstar's local network.
UCCEI, established by the South Korean government, serves as a hub for supporting manufacturing process innovation, startup incubation, and the revitalisation of the regional industrial innovation ecosystem. Vietstar, a world-class training and consulting brand, supports the sustainable growth of Vietnamese enterprises through leadership training and corporate competency building programmes.
The industrial training and talent exchange initiative will involve joint planning and operation of activities for Vietnamese professionals in key South Korean industries, such as energy, mobility, and new materials. The partnership aims to enhance Vietnamese industrial leadership capability, connect promising talent with South Korean industries, and facilitate Ulsan startups' entry into the Vietnamese market. The two sides will also facilitate internships, exchange programmes, and talent connections for Ulsan-based companies expanding into Vietnam.
