Unveiling the Consultative Panel

At our institution, we are fortunate to have a multi-disciplinary Advisory Board comprising veteran artists, designers, and employers. This esteemed group brings high-level expertise from executive roles in education, business, legal, design, and leadership development.

Pat Perigo, a photographer and print production professional with over twenty years of experience in gallery and museum management, is one such member. Diana Dunaj-Kullman, the immediate past president of the AAF - Metro Phoenix Ad Club, who was awarded "Advertising Person of the Year" in 2011, also graces our board.

The Advisory Board conducts an annual program review of degree and certificate programs, aiming to find areas for evolution or improvement in our programs. They also provide data on employment trends through a process called workplace assessment, touching on software or technical skills that should be on a resume, as well as the types of projects that should be in a portfolio.

The SCLA National Advisory Board, focused on education, includes Magda J. Castineyra, Dean of The Honors College at Miami Dade College, and Dr. Jennifer A. Lindholm, Assistant Vice Provost and Director of Honors Programs at UCLA. Both have extensive experience in leading honors programs and enhancing undergraduate education.

On the other hand, the SCLA Executive Advisory Board, consisting of business and industry leaders, features Joe Whittinghill, a talent and learning leader with over 20 years in a global tech company, and Stedman Graham, a business executive, educator, and author who runs a leadership development firm.

In addition, we have boards like BarkerGilmore Strategic Advisors, which boasts legal and compliance executive search and coaching experts such as Paulette Dodson, Laura J. Schumacher, and Kristin Campbell.

Furthermore, our boards include professionals from diverse backgrounds like education, business, legal, and design. For example, the Dedham Design Review Advisory Board members are design professionals with expertise in architecture and development.

Outside of our institution, we find professionals like Mike Rider, who has worked as an animation artist in films for Fox Animation Studios, DreamWorks, and Cartoon Network, and Chelsea Winkel, who designs for Lifelite.org, an emergency response technology, and has helped over 30 early stage startups with ideation, branding, and business design.

In summary, the qualifications of our Advisory Board members often include distinguished academic credentials and decades of experience guiding programmatic or organizational success. Their expertise and achievements ensure that our institution remains at the forefront of education and design, preparing students for success in their respective fields.
