Celebrating 20 Years of Forward-Thinking: Futurebuild's Impact 20×20 Initiative
Upcoming Event: "Futurebuild 2025" - Exploring Innovations Across Architecture, Building, and Construction Industries.
Marking two decades of driving change, Futurebuild is launching a groundbreaking initiative - Impact 20×20: Call for Impact. This platform empowers future leaders, change-makers, and experts across the industry to share visionary ideas and practical insights that can make a real difference in the pursuit of a sustainable built environment.
Impact 20×20 invites you to submit your ideas, presented as Pecha Kucha-style sessions featuring 20 slides shown for 20 seconds. Present on one of Futurebuild's key Impact Stages: Buildings, Energy, FutureX Digital Disruptors, Materials, or Placemaking.
Martin Hurn, Event Director at Futurebuild, shares: "With 20 successful years championing sustainability under our belt, we're excited to launch Impact 20×20. This call for impact is a platform for bold ideas and aims to inspire action in the built environment."
Futurebuild Arena
Looking back at two decades of pushing boundaries in innovation and sustainability, Futurebuild Arena will delve into critical industry issues in 2025. With climate change impacts intensifying and inequality growing, these sessions will explore developing a vibrant, just, and sustainable economy within planetary boundaries. Tackling three themes are: Putting Circularity and Reuse at the Heart of Living and Working; Sustainability, Social Justice and Transition; and Making it Happen. Time for decisive action is now.
The platforms for change
Complementing the Impact 20×20 call for ideas, the five Impact Stages at Futurebuild will showcase cutting-edge approaches to sustainable construction and urban development. These include Buildings (sponsored by HG Matthews), Energy (backed by Kensa), Materials (supported by Aggregate Industries), Placemaking (addressing urban development beyond buildings), and FutureX Digital Disruptors (demonstrating the impact of construction technology on the environment).
Each stage offers collaboration with leading industry organizations, providing practical insights and solutions for construction professionals seeking to shape a more sustainable built environment.
