Vladivostok's 'Literature of the Pacific' Festival Returns for 2025
The eighth 'Literature of the Pacific' festival is set to take place in Vladivostok from October 10 to 12, organized by the Primorsky branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia. This cultural event, with various partners and information partners, aims to promote literacy and interest in both classical Russian literature and works from neighboring Asia-Pacific countries.
The festival will feature a variety of activities, including a book fair at the Sports Harbor Embankment from 12:00 to 18:00 hours each day. Musicians from the Far East will provide live performances on stage by the fountain throughout the event. A dictation event is also planned to encourage literacy and engagement with native literature.
The festival's educational program will include cultural and entertainment events, with a focus on turning to classical works of Russian literature and literature from neighboring Asia-Pacific countries. This year's festival follows the successful seventh edition held in October 2024, which focused on young and young adult readers. The event is supported by numerous regional cultural and educational institutions, as well as organizations like the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Sberbank, and the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.
