"Volunteer Efforts Thrive in Wuppertal - Wuppertal Stands Tall via Volunteerism"
The Municipal Integration Center Wuppertal has announced a free volunteer training program, funded by the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Refugees and Integration of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The program, aimed at individuals who bear responsibility or are actively involved as volunteers in associations, seeks to further professionalize volunteering, motivate those involved, and establish sustainable structures locally.
The training sessions will take place from September 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, and registration is open until the end of October. Interested individuals can register for the sessions, which will take place in the city of Frankfurt am Main.
The training program offers courses in civic education, media literacy, communication, digitalization, talent promotion, and association organization. These courses are designed to strengthen associations with knowledge, practical skills, and exchange.
Arlin Cakal-Rasch, Director of the Municipal Integration Center, emphasizes the importance of the training program. "Volunteering is an important partner for integration work, cohesion, and local encounter," he said. "This program will provide our volunteers with the tools they need to continue making a positive impact in their communities."
Burcu Temel, Volunteer Coordinator at the Municipal Integration Center Wuppertal, can be contacted for more information. Further information about the training program can be found at integration.wuppertal.de. The email address for contacting Burcu Temel is [email protected].
The training sessions are conducted by experienced trainers at the association's premises. The goal of the training program is to equip volunteers with the skills they need to effectively contribute to their associations and make a positive impact in their communities.
The training program is just one example of the Municipal Integration Center's commitment to supporting volunteers and strengthening associations. By providing free training sessions and resources, the center hopes to empower volunteers and create a more cohesive and integrated community.
