A 'Fit for Job Interviews' training programme was recently held at the Elisabeth-Selbert School in Zierenberg. Ten volunteer career mentors, experienced in the field, provided guidance to young job seekers. This project, running for nearly 15 years, is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration.

The volunteers served as conversation partners, offering feedback on application materials and personal appearance. This year, almost 400 young people benefited from the career mentoring project's training offer. The volunteers enjoy their commitment and are well-prepared through regular further training.

The training programme included real interview scenarios, with 64 students practising presenting themselves confidently and persuasively for apprenticeship positions. Young people appreciate the training, with feedback such as 'I now know what I can improve.' The project also offers individual support in 'tandems' during the search for apprenticeship positions.
